About The Choir
YAV Staff
Patrons
The four patrons of the choir are eminent South Australians Keith Conlon, Peter Combe, Julie Anthony, and Jane Doyle. Musicians in their own right, they are also powerful role models for their integrity, talent and achievements.
Artistic Director:
Christie Anderson is the Artistic Director of YAV. An experienced singer and conductor, Christie comes to YAV with a passion choral music, ensemble singing and music as a team sport! Christie conducts the Senior Vocal Ensemble and the 2nd Concert Choir.
Executive Director:
Deborah Munro is the co-founder of Young Adelaide Voices. She was Artistic Director for 21 years, and in that capacity recorded nine CDs and led six overseas tours, conducting the Choir for recitals in many prestigious venues such as Westminster Abbey, St Martin-in-the-Fields and the European Youth Choral Festival.
Music Staff
Members of the YAV music staff are all highly qualified people who have a wonderful rapport with children as well as great enthusiasm for choral education.

Choir Council
This group of people comprises the Executive Director, General Manager, the Artistic Director and an annually elected parent group as well as one or two nominated members from the community. It meets once per month to overview the Choir's activities, finances and ethos. The Council acts as a consultative body and works on behalf of the Choir with the support of parent volunteers.
